#52 Brain Rules

Did you know it’s impossible to multitask when paying attention. Or that studies show if you’re interrupted it takes 50% longer to accomplish a task. Not only that, you make up to 50 % more errors. Knowing how the brain works will help you be more productive, confident and efficient and as a result your ability to achieve the things you want increases.

Here are the first 3 of the 10 Brain Rules

  1. Exercise – Exercise gets blood to your brain, bringing it glucose for energy and oxygen to soak up the toxic electrons that are left over. It also stimulates the protein that keeps neurons connecting.
  2. Wiring – Every brain is wired differently. What you do and learn in life physically changes what your brain looks like—it literally rewires it.
  3. Attention – People don’t pay attention to boring things. • The brain’s attentional “spotlight” can focus on only one thing at a time: no multitasking.
